Run A Mile

 Run A Mile is a 4-week walking/running program designed to help beginners take the first steps to getting healthy by completing one mile. The program includes a safe, guided training plan designed to allow you to work at your own pace in a non-threatening, non-judgmental environment. At the end of the 4-weeks, you'll be able to run or run/walk 1-mile feeling healthy, happy, and strong. We encourage participants to exercise at their own comfortable pace.

We meet Tuesday nights at 6:30 and Saturday mornings at 7:30 am beginning Tuesday, Janurary 31st.  

We will have our Run A Mile Celebration on Saturday, February 25th, with family, friends and healthy snacks after completing one mile!

This Program is $25.00 to sign up with the chance to earn a $25.00 gift card for attending all 8 sessions. 

Cost includes: 4-week training schedule; Coach-led workouts 2x weekly; A weekly email with training tips, nutrition and other educational information; A fun celebration at the end of the program Raffle prizes; Shopping Specials at Fleet Feet Sports; and more!

This 4 week program leads into our beginner friendly, No boundaries 5k program!  

 Must be 18 years or older to participate.

 5 K Training

A 10-week program beginning Tuesday, February 28, 2017, designed for the beginner or intermediate run/walker or runner to help you complete a 5K (3.1 Miles) on May, 6th 2017.

We meet Tuesdays at 6:30 pm and Saturdays at 7:30 am. Our goal race is the Spartan 5k in Davidson, NC. (see below for optional 7K goal race) 

Training program registration does not include the race entry fee. We encourage all of our participants to register for the 5k of their choosing. If your goal race takes place before the end of our season please let your Coaches know so we can tailor the schedule to your personal time frame!

We have several pace group options to meet your pacing needs;

1) Runners

2) Run/walk plan to run (increase running interval more quickly each week)

3) Run/walk 1 (increase running interval less quickly than run walk plan to run)

What is the cost of the Program? $110 

Cost includes: Technical shirt; coaching two days a week with a detailed training plan; great opportunity to meet running, run/walking, and walking partners; Introduction to running routes on area trails and neighborhoods.

Seminar Topics including: Running and Walking form, Injury Prevention, Cross Training, Exercise apparel and gear, Nutrition, Race Preparation, and more!

 As a first time bonus feature, we are offering a 2nd goal race! For no extra cost we will extend the program 2 additional weeks to complete the Fight the Good Fight 7k, in Huntersville, on May 20th, 2017.
