Joseph grew up in the Virginia suburbs of Washington D.C. After three decades in the nation’s capital he moved to the gulf coast and spent several years dodging hurricanes before moving to North Carolina. After too many mild winters on the gulf coast, Joseph can be seen running in a full parka between September and April, during what he calls “the brutally cold North Carolina winter.” He has over a decade of running experience having completed several half and full marathons including the Grandfather Mountain Marathon in Boone. He loves to run (and run and run) and completed his first ultramarathon in the fall of 2013. Joseph is very excited to be the Training Director and a coach at Fleet Feet Huntersville where he enjoys sharing his experience and helping people avoid making many of the stupid running mistakes he has “cleverly discovered” in his time as a runner. He lives in Huntersville with his triathlete wife, amazing son, two crazy dogs, and entirely too many books.
